Thanks for the well thought out comment Chris, I always appreciate someone who puts some thought into what they say. You kind of misunderstood the point of my post however... actually the whole point of my site really. The theme is "It would be scary", but in a more comedic tone than OMG, THE GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING OUR EVERY MOVE, WHERE IS MY TINFOIL. I'd like to point out that I made a post about why it would be scary if McCain were elected as well. Honestly it is scary times, and there are scary things about each candidate to me.

The race of the candidates to me is honestly not a factor... I just pointed out in my post that to a lot of people in our nation it is. Regardless of what happens, this is a historic election and I hope whoever is elected can do right. It will definitely be interesting.

One more thing... I more or less agree with your stance, so you can guess who my vote will be going to. This is regardless of race, but based on what I personally think this country needs. (Hint it isn't someone who talks about change, but can't back it up).

This type of thinking is not only moronic, it's also dangerous. And you wonder why police departments around the nation are preparing for the possibility of riots were Obama to lose.

You make it sound like anyone who doesn't vote for Obama is a racist and that is purely ridiculous. I will definitely not be voting for Obama, not because of his race, but because of virtually everything he stands for. His health care plan will wreak havoc on the economy, his tax plans will wreak havoc on the economy, his "share the wealth" philosophy will wreak havoc on the economy. He's against "trickle down economics" but what you don't realize is that his philosophy is actually a trickle up poverty. You raise taxes on the top and you'll see prices go up, jobs cut and laid off, and families out of work. Families will not be able to spend as they usually do which will be a double blow for companies and the cycle will continue at a downward spiral. There is no money to implement the the agenda Obama is planning. That will also be a cancer to our economy.

On top of that, who is Obama? I don't really know! I do know he has lied about his relationship with ACORN. He was not only an attorney representing ACORN, but he also taught seminars at ACORN. On top of that, he has also donated $800,000 to the organization that is being investigated for NATION WIDE fraud. Not only on the issue of ACORN, but I have also not seen Obama being honest and straightforward with the American people on his relationships with William Ayers. Not to mention other acquaintances such as Tony Rezko.

You see, Jon, these are the reasons why I will absolutely not vote for Obama. It has nothing to do with his race. It is you, sir, and people like you, sir, who is making this about race. This mindset not only deeply offensive but also dangerous. Jon, you are free to voice your opinion. And that's what makes this nation great. I am proud that America has come this far in racial reconciliation that an American of African decent can run with great popularity for the Presidency. But it's not the color of his skin that I'm concerned about, its the content of his character. And it's on that basis that I make my decision on Obama.
