I forgot all about that comment. I appreciate the thought and sentiment of the comment. But Aaron must not have noticed that this is not a political blog, nor is it striving to be one. It is more of a comedy/entertainment blog, thus the avoidance of the issues that matter.

Well, the election is now over, but I hope it's not too late to comment on your blog... I don't see where anything you have said here is valid. You basically went on about age and tried to make McCain out to be a villain. We've had a lot of old presidents, like, uh...all of em? My grandparents both recently died in their late 70's, and neither of them had mental problems until they were in their last hours on their death beds. Only a small percentage of folks lose it before their 80's. John McCain isn't going senile any time soon. Looks is also a poor reason to choose or not choose a candidate. You're missing all the real issues, such as the political ideals, plans, and the candidate's character.

I also read a blog on this website about Obama. I assume it was yours too. I found it also to be full of unimportant issues. You basically made it all about race and racial tensions. The VAST majority of people in this country don't care about race any more. Yes, even the vast majority of us down here in the deep south (I come from Louisiana, and that comment was actually offensive). If you want to really know what's scary about Obama, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with race or racial tensions. It's several things. For one, he is blindly admired and he's a media darling who can "do no wrong", which is very dangerous. Secondly, he ran his whole campaign on the prospect of this huge and great "change we need", however he has NO new or innovative ideas or plans. In fact, no one actually knows what this "change" will be. Maybe he simply means something silly like the change will just be him living in the white house instead of Bush, or maybe it's the more likely and frightening thing...he has a secretive hidden agenda. What's also scary (and I'm not saying this because I support Bush, because I actually don't care for him too much) is that the media has turned Bush into a scapegoat for all of the modern day problems. The reason it is scary is because now people totally believe he and the republicans are to blame, despite the fact that the senate and house has been controlled by a democratic majority through out his administration. So what is so scary you ask? Well now, the media has turned most Americans against the Republican party, and they hold blameless the democrats who have actually had the most power. Now we will have Obama, a VERY radical liberal, and an even stronger liberal majority in the senate and house. They (democrats) have went from being the reigning party, to the almighty. THIS is what is scary.

I am NOT a member of either political party. I stay away from all the political hype, and I'm a straight shooter. But, I know that when one party is that much more powerful than the other, WE are in SERIOUS trouble. And it is not as if we aren't in enough already. It really bothers me that people can let the media sway them that strongly, and basically control their thoughts and beliefs. That is probably the most frightening. It's time for Americans to think with their brains, and not with their TVs. Otherwise, we truly are doomed.

My advice to you: You should do one of two things. #1, Just make a full blown liberal blog site, talk about Liberal ideals, philosophy, politics, agenda, or... #2) Make a fair, moderate, and politically balanced website which will would appeal to a very broad audience and likely be very popular. But, no matter which one you pick, talk about the REAL ISSUES. Age and race aren't real issues. That's not what Americans care about these days, except for a very silly few.

I'm not trying to be harsh or mean to you. You are always free to email me to talk. We can chit-chat, debate, discuss, argue, whatever, but it MUST be civilized. I will not respond to insults.
