A long island man died in a freak accident while fishing at Jones Beach. This is definitely one of the strangest deaths I have heard of in a while. We have all heard about people hooking themselves with a fishing line in the eye or lip or anywhere else, but at the worst it results in a trip to the hospital.

From the story, this man’s line snapped when he casted and recoiled back. There was a 3 ounce sinker on the line that came back with such extreme force that it hit him in the eye and went all the way to his brain. Massive bleeding ensued and he was pronounced dead of brain surgery.

To me this is just crazy and scary that such freak accidents can happen… and they can happen to anybody, anytime, doing anything.

If there is a moral of this story, I would say that it is people don’t kill people, crazy flying fish weights kill people… in freak accidents… so BEWARE!

A 38-year old man from Queensbury was arrested for attempting to sell pills to an undercover officer. That is not the scary part however. The scary part is that it appears this man is Peter Griffin! In the words of Peter, “Holy Crap!” If cartoon characters are coming to life, who is next? Hopefully not Skeletor. If that happened, then surely we would need He-Man to come to life to defeat him. But I digress…

Apparently a boy was decapitated at a Six Flags Theme Park on Saturday. How you ask? Well a group of boys at the theme park decided to enter a restricted area. Then apparently one of the boys had the bright idea of jumping up and trying to grab the feet of one of the riders of the Batman ride. Needless to say, this was not a way to get a-head in life. Sorry, couldn’t resist. The boy was decapitated. Scary? Or just a great example of Darwinism? You be the judge.

Talk about a scary thing to wake up to. But I guess if you want to look at it as the glass half full, it is pretty miraculous that this guy came back from the dead after an hour and a half! Crazy! Scary!

Researchers recently tracked 100,000 cell phone users outside of the U.S. unknowingly. This brings up a lot of concerns of the government becoming somewhat of a Big Brother if it is so easy for some research company to do so. Personally I think it is really scary that they were allowed to do this without informing the people being tracked.

However, the study did yield some interesting results. They found that most people stay within a 10 mile radius of their home throughout their daily lives. I don’t think this is all that surpising however. Most people find traveling hectic and work 5 days a week as well.

By now you may have already heard that Clay Aiken is going to be a dad. Yes, this is a very scary thing. When I first heard this I thought that maybe he was trying to prove that he was not gay. But that theory was quickly squashed when it was reported that the woman who is carrying Clay’s spawn was artificially inseminated with a turkey baster. Ok, maybe the turkey baster part isn’t true, but she WAS artificially inseminated.

I know that many people will be wondering what this baby will look like. So through some state-of-the-art technology, I have generated a picture of what I believe Clay Aiken’s baby spawn will look like. I hope that it does not give you too many nightmares.

Apparently a 12-year old girl went to pick up a watermelon at a Wal-Mart in West Virginia and was stung by a scorpion. Geez, I bet that girl will never want to eat a watermelon again so thats too bad. But what is good is that she will probably never want to go to Wal-Mart again. Because I would venture to say that Wal-Mart is almost scarier than scorpions.

Luckily the scorpion was not poisonous and reportedly was just a little bit worse than a bee sting, so the girl is fine.

So apparently in New Zealand, rather than settle differences the old fashioned way, they use hedgehogs. You would think it would be a lot simpler to just hit a guy with your fist. Although I must say that I am impressed that a man was able to throw a hedgehog accurately to hit someone from several yards away. It is kind of scary to think that you could be minding your own business and suddenly you are pegged right in the leg with a hedgehog. It reminds me of the scene in Austin Powers when the bad guy known as Random Task hits Austin in the head with a shoe. “Who throws a shoe?! Honestly?!?”

Here in the US I suspect it would more likely be a squirrel or chipmunk. If that is to ever happen, I do hope that it is a dead one, because those things can be mean!

FULL STORY

WELLINGTON, New Zealand – A New Zealand man accused of assault with prickly weapon — a hedgehog — has been fined by a court and ordered to pay most of his fine to his teenage victim.

Whakatane District Court was told Thursday that William Singalargh picked up the hedgehog and threw it several yards to hit a 15-year-old boy in the North Island east coast town of Whakatane on Feb. 9.

Police told the court the creature had hit the victim in the leg, causing a large, red welt and several puncture marks. The teen did not need medical treatment.

Singalargh was convicted of common assault and offensive behavior following a defended hearing. He had pleaded innocent to the charges.

He was fined a total of $545 and ordered to pay $389 to his victim.

The more serious charge of assault with a weapon, namely a hedgehog, was dropped. The maximum penalty for that charge is five years in prison.

It remained unclear whether the hedgehog was dead or alive at the time of the attack, but Senior Sgt. Bruce Jenkins said earlier that it was dead when collected as evidence.

While using a hedgehog as a weapon in an assault is uncommon, Jenkins said people often got charged with assault for throwing things at other people.

1 man with a wife in child and another who is a technology systems manager were both wrongly detained and forced to into harrowing experiences thanks to a mistake by the federal authorities.

One was arrested because he shared the same name with a suspected molester and the other lived at the previous address of a reputed crime member. How crazy is this shit? Apparently men busted into both of these guys houses with guns drawn and handcuffed these men with no warrants and no explanation. It is amazing that our government can make such huge mistakes. These men could be scarred for life, afraid that at any moment it could happen again.
